thanks

thankgiving
is awesome! and this year did not disappoint. We got to enjoy the holiday with my family (minus NYC Hendricksons). We played so many fun games, ate yummy food, got In N Out, saw Temple Square and watched the BYU/U game... oh and saw New Moon (LOVED it) Thanks Ma and Pa, can't wait to repeat the fun in a month.

what am i grateful for this year?
-the gospel
-my little family
-my little Christmas tree
-Golds Gym daycare
-toast
-road trips
-spin class (christie i miss you)
-Glee
and
-my lame ability to get people to see New Moon with me 3 times. yes that is something to be thankful for, or more correctly, ashamed of.

you are FLAT

the SALT FLATS 2009

yesterday we had nothing to do. ashton is on thanksgiving break. but he did have a few photo assignments and we(he) had the crazy idea to drive 2.5 hours to the Salt Flats. It is amazing.

here are some things i learned from our visit:

-if you lick it, it will taste like salt

-a 2 year old doesn't really get how cool it is

-driving fast on salt is way more fun then on pavement

-ashton likes to take pics for a long time

-sitting in the car while ashton takes pics can be relaxing if you bring a dvd player and licorice

-hitting up burger king is more fun when they give you New Moon crowns to wear

-a family roadtrip is our favorite thing to do, and the Salt Flats did not disappoint.

-oh and my husband is pretty darn talented with a camera, these are a few of his candid pictures i stole.

These are the things i have been obsessed with lately.

this book is amazing. Seriously. If you want some addiction in your life, start this. Ashton and I are already on book 2.

Also, Friday Night Lights season 4 has started. Oh boy. Still makes my heart happy.

and last but certainly not least.......
It has begun! Gonzaga basketball time.

ok, ok and maybe.....
i cannot wait for this movie to come out. I am Team Edward but seriously Jacob makes my heart flutter in the previews.

In other WAY more exciting news. Check out my husband's pics in the conference issue of the Ensign. I taught him all his tricks.

ARIN ZONA (ella's version of Arizona)

that's right people
we left cold Utah for 3 days of warmth and fun with our family.

not mention celebrating Gary's birthday and Halloween. On Friday we enjoyed a day with the Yarbroughs. We ate yummy wings, i choked in public (not embarrassing at all), we played out by their pool, ate yummy cakes, took naps and partied in honor of Gary. It was wonderful.

On Saturday (Halloween) we joined the Rodgers. Ella loved playing with her cousins, we loved eating yummy food (and lots of it), we had a bbq, i wore shorts, ella jumped on the tramp, and we trick or treated. Ella was a pro at it.We loved our quick trip. We cruised home on Sunday with our bellies full of candy and our ears happy while we listened to Harry Potter book 7 on C.D. but our hearts were sad leaving all of the fun behind.

On the Rodger calendar this week: My birthday and a trip to Atlanta. Whoop Whoop

chelsea got married

and i only have one darn picture to prove it. shoot! She looked beautiful though.

Ok, but to redeem myself i got pictures of the family that came into town for it. Let me tell you, we had lots of fun. From shopping, to eating Tucanos, to just sitting and chatting, we loved every minute of it. I got really lucky and married into one giant crazy/fun family that seems to tolerate me.
